Fostering Eco-Consciousness

A Thrilling Quiz Event at Adani Vidya Mandir, Bhadreshwar

On a vibrant Saturday morning, the Secure Nature Society embarked on a 75 km journey from Mandvi to Bhadreshwar to host an engaging environmental quiz and awareness event at Adani Vidya Mandir, marking the inaugural event of our Paryaaksha environmental education program for the 2025-26 academic year. The event was a remarkable success, bringing together students, teachers, and our dedicated team in a shared mission to foster environmental consciousness.

A Warm Welcome

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a heartwarming song performed by the girl students of Adani Vidya Mandir. Their melodious voices set a joyful tone for the day, instantly uplifting everyone present. We also brought along over 15 birdhouses as a gift for the school, symbolizing our commitment to nurturing nature and encouraging biodiversity.

The event kicked off with a brief introduction, followed by an exciting quiz competition meticulously designed by our team members, Dharmik Bhatt and Monika Joshi. Eight teams, each comprising four enthusiastic students from 6th to 9th standards, participated in the quiz, showcasing their knowledge and passion for environmental issues. Over 250 students filled the audience, cheering for their peers and soaking in the learning experience.

In a surprising and inspiring outcome, the team that clinched first place consisted of students from 6th and 8th standards, proving that passion and knowledge for the environment know no age limits. Their victory highlighted the potential of young minds to lead the charge in environmental awareness.

The quiz, initially planned for two hours, extended to three due to the overwhelming engagement and enthusiasm from the participants. The students’ curiosity and eagerness to learn about environmental conservation made the event truly interactive and memorable.

Great Support from School Management

The success of the event was a result of seamless coordination and exceptional support from the school. Hitesh Maheshwari, a champion of our online environmental quiz on social media, played a pivotal role in bridging the gap between Secure Nature Society and Adani Vidya Mandir. Inspired by our approach to spreading awareness, Hitesh collaborated with the school’s principal, Ashutosh Thaker, and our team to organize this impactful event. Principal Thaker was incredibly supportive, not only ensuring flawless arrangements alongside Harsh Bhatt, the eco-club in-charge, but also engaging with us post-event to discuss future collaborations. His innovative ideas for environmental initiatives opened exciting possibilities for Secure Nature Society to partner with the school, amplifying our efforts to promote sustainability.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Vinod Maheshwari, whose dedication was truly inspiring. Despite not having slept the previous night due to work commitments and battling poor health, Vinodbhai joined the quiz early in the morning with unwavering enthusiasm. He stood for the entire three-hour event, capturing stunning photographs and actively participating as an organizer. His commitment exemplifies the spirit of Secure Nature Society, where a small but passionate team of volunteers fulfills multiple roles to drive our mission forward. Alongside Vinodbhai, Dharmik Bhatt and Monika Joshi from our team worked tirelessly to make the event a success. Volunteers like these are the backbone of Secure Nature, turning our vision into reality.

A Commitment to Education and Empowerment

Adani Vidya Mandir stands out as a beacon of hope, offering free education and comprehensive facilities to students, particularly those from marginalized communities and financially challenged families. From quality education to nutritious food and extracurricular activities like music, the school ensures that every student has access to opportunities that empower them to thrive.

Words of Appreciation

The event concluded on a high note, with Principal Ashutosh Thaker praising Secure Nature Society’s dedication and professionalism. In his words, our work reflects a deep passion for Mother Nature and its well-being, inspiring both students and teachers alike. The extended duration of the event was a testament to the engagement and enjoyment of everyone involved.

A Step Toward a Greener Future

This environmental quiz and awareness event, thoughtfully crafted by Dharmik Bhatt and Monika Joshi as the first initiative under our Paryaaksha program, was more than just a competition—it was a celebration of learning, collaboration, and a shared commitment to protecting our planet. The enthusiasm of the students, especially the remarkable victory of the 6th and 8th standard team, the support of the school, and the dedication of our volunteers, particularly Vinodbhai, Dharmik, and Monika, made this day unforgettable. With Principal Shree Ashutosh Thaker’s visionary ideas for future collaborations, we are excited about the potential to further our mission. Together, we took a meaningful step toward fostering a greener, more sustainable future.
